Careers Unlimited launches Virtual Education Expo

Careers Unlimited have launched Virtual Education Expo – a new, online course fair, to take place on 18th June. The virtual expo will be a live courses fair connecting prospective students and courses-seekers with colleges and course providers in Ireland. The event will use latest virtual interactive technology to match prospective students with colleges in a real-time, virtual environment and provide a streamlined way for these students to enrol on courses run at colleges right around Ireland.

The event will be free for course-seekers to attend and will run from 10am-4pm on the day.

Careers Unlimited’s Kevin Branigan said, “Virtual Education Expo is Ireland’s new event for anyone seeking to enrol on a course, thinking of going to college, doing a postgraduate degree, returning to education, upskilling, changing career direction, taking professional, holistic or hobbyist courses or looking for information on courses, classes and educational options – but this event will be online, providing the ideal way for colleges to interact with course-seekers in the current Covid-19 climate.”

The move comes after a survey carried out by the company shows that 73% of course seekers in the country would consider online, distance learning or home study options over the summer months, with social distancing protocols set up continue for the foreseeable future. The survey also showed that 43% of respondents would considering enrolling on a course over the next three months, showing that trends and interest in courses have changed during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prospective students will be able to virtually meet admissions staff from colleges online, watch college videos and download prospectii, attend virtual webinars, chat with career guidance counselors and, ultimately, enrol on courses – all from the comfort of their own home, office or smartphone. Meanwhile, the virtual event will enable colleges to promote their college brand, communicate easily with students and appeal to a wider geographical area their own location.
