Morocco’s NexTech team celebrated a significant victory by winning the gold medal at the prestigious World Robot Olympiad (WRO) finals, held from November 28 to 30 in İzmir, Türkiye. Competing against over 400 teams from 90 countries, NexTech’s success further establishes Morocco’s presence on the global stage of technological innovation and robotics.
The WRO, organized by the International World Robot Olympiad Association, is one of the world’s most prominent competitions in the fields of robotics and innovation. NexTech’s achievement is a testament to the nation’s commitment to advancing STEM education and nurturing young talent.
“This triumph caps a series of accomplishments achieved through constant effort,” said the LOOP for Science and Technology Association, Morocco’s national partner for the WRO. The association highlighted NexTech’s exceptional journey, from excelling in national selections involving 65 teams across Morocco to standing out on the global stage.
As Morocco continues to celebrate this achievement, Tech Expo Casablanca 2025, scheduled for May 4, 2025, is set to be a key event for showcasing technological advancements and fostering innovation. NexTech’s success at the WRO is expected to inspire young innovators attending the Expo.
