Martina Quinn - Finance Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a Top Renewable Energy Semiconductor Manufacturing in Ireland, in their search for a dynamic and driven Group Financial Controller. This exciting opportunity is based in County Wicklow and offers unlimited growth potential.

Role Overview:

As the Group Financial Controller, you will work closely with the Group Finance Director to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for the business divisions. Your role will involve providing financial control and reporting functionality that aligns with the company's size and complexity. You will also be responsible for selecting accounting standards and policies that are best suited to the Group's needs.

Your responsibilities will include agreeing on the format and timeframes for the reporting of business division performance, managing the preparation of monthly financial reports and forecasts, delivering streamlined and timely reporting at the Group level, ensuring the central finance function produces a timely, low-cost, quality service, participating in the development of financial IT systems that provide required Group finance information, and preparing an annual Group Budget for approval by the Board.

You will also be responsible for supporting the preparation of the annual report and statutory financial statements, reviewing compliance with accounting standards, and advising management of the potential impact of changes in the regulatory environment. You will adopt appropriate accounting policies for the Group and prepare technical papers in support of management's judgments and accounting estimates.

Your Profile:

The ideal candidate will be a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with 2+ years of PQE and a strong background in group reporting and consolidation. They will possess strong analytical and technical accounting knowledge and an ability to apply it to the role to enhance the profitability and asset value of the business.

The candidate will be results-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently, with a positive approach to teamwork and a desire to continuously learn and grow. They should have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build effective relationships with team members and other business divisions, and an understanding of the importance of managing and developing people, creating a climate in which people can do their best. They should have strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills, with the ability to deliver on multiple tasks simultaneously.
