Purpose of the Role:

The Data Analytics Manager will play a key role as a senior member of the Customer Analytics team. The individual will be tasked with delivering actionable insights that translate into positive customer and business outcomes for the Marketing squads you support. You will have a commercial mind-set, understand the business and be someone who can identify and communicate opportunities for growth. You will be a team player who is self-motivated and passionate about data. You will be able to recognise areas where the wider Customer Analytics & Transformation team's skill set can support. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and be able to prioritise work across multiple areas. You will be as comfortable wrangling data and creating visualisations as you are with engaging with business areas and translating their business problems into analytics.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide detailed analysis and understanding of customers' needs and interests across different customer segments and products.
  • Responsible for providing insight into the performance of your squad's activity and identify actions to increase performance. Following through to ensure change is delivered and measured.
  • Set the standard for high quality and impactful output across the team.
  • Support the development of a strong culture within Customer Analytics to attract and retain top talent.
  • Play a key role in building the brand of Customer Analytics internally and externally by demonstrating the value Customer Analytics delivers for our Customers.

What is the Opportunity?

The successful candidate will support the delivery of data driven analysis to our key product lines and customer segments and also bring expertise in analytics and storytelling to deliver increased commercial and business outcomes. We are specifically looking for curious, big picture thinkers who are comfortable discussing the details, as well as being self-motivated and organised.

This is a high visibility role within the team and a great opportunity to make a difference to our customers. This a front facing role with lots of exposure to key business units and senior stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in Analytics /Business, with at least 2 years' as a senior analyst or analytics manager.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a proven track record of driving change through data and analytics.
  • Experience working in a commercial, marketing or trading performance role.
  • SQL skills are essential.
  • Experience of working in Agile delivery squads.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics, or equivalent quantitative field.
  • Experience with Teradata, Tableau or similar data technologies.
  • Experience of working in financial services and/or with marketing teams
  • Proven experience measuring the value of analytics in terms of increased revenue, customer outcomes or reduced cost.
