Purpose of the Role

The role of the Digital Scrum Master is part of the Cloud Centre of Excellence. The Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) is a cross-functional team responsible for developing and managing the cloud strategy, governance, and best practices that the rest of the organization can leverage to transform the business using the cloud. The CCoE helps lead the organization in cloud adoption, migration, and operations.

In this role, you join a team of highly skilled platform engineers responsible for the end-to-end ownership and delivery of public cloud services. You will be provided with guidance and training to facilitate your development within this role.

Key Accountabilities

• Leading at least one Scrum Team implementing services and environments using infrastructure as code.
• Guiding the team(s) and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
• Preparing reports and reporting regularly to project sponsor and stakeholders, improving transparency to allow the product and projects to be governed based on the organisations governance requirements.
• Supporting and developing Agile environment with the Product Owner / Head of CCoE
• Removing impediments ensuring the team(s) deliver the business outcomes agreed to.
• Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
• Facilitating the Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand up, sprint retrospectives and release planning.
• Ensuring that the team(s) delivers high-quality software on time meeting the business goals.
• Provide input to the Management team to drive improvements in delivery, technology and structure.

As a Scrum Master you will support the transformation of the Bank in the Cloud space and supporting the adoption of agile practices in a team developing Infrastructure as a code joining a new and fast growing team.

Essential Qualifications

• Have experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year with a software development team.
• Have knowledge of various patterns, anti-patterns and techniques to ensure that Scrum can be applied effectively to this organisation.
• Relevant degree or diploma programme of study or relevant business experience.
• Experience of working with the latest automation tools in a DevOps and Agile environment.
• Familiarity with version control platforms e.g. Git, Perforce, SVN, TFVC.
• Proven ability to succeed in collaborative work environments using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Expert level knowledge of Azure or AWS with associated certifications.
• Expert knowledge of Atlassian toolset.
• Experienced in the delivery of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in an Agile environment.
• Working knowledge of configuration management tools e.g. Cloud formation, Ansible, Terraform, Powershell.
• Desirable to be experienced in Transformation Programs influencing teams and stakeholders

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Be a certified Scrum Master
• Have experience of Software Engineering.
• Have experience in working in a continuous delivery software production environment.
• Managing relationships with third party vendors.
• Experience of developing test plans and delivering results to schedule.
