Role: Strategic Workforce Planning Manager

 

Location: Dublin (Hybrid Working – 2 days in office per week)

 

Summary of Role

Reporting to the Organisation Shape Lead, this exciting new role will bring a best-in-class approach to Strategic Workforce Planning, provide insight and consultancy on workforce shape and organisational effectiveness, to ensure the right capacity and capability is in the right place, enhancing business performance and supporting organisational change.

 

This role is responsible for embedding a new approach to workforce planning, provide insight and consultancy on workforce shape, resourcing strategies and organisational effectiveness, to ensure the right capacity and capability is in the right place, enhance business performance and support change.

 

The role holder will lead out on implementing a Strategic Workforce Planning approach, establishing the MI and People Analytics required to inform the workforce plan, partnering with HR Business Partner’s and senior leaders across the organisation, translating business strategy into workforce requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Identify and leverage supporting tools and resources and data/analytics needed for measurement related to the implementation strategy
  • Ensure strong, accurate resource forecast with a focused understanding of the current and future skills and capability requirements aligned with resource requirements.
  • Develop, design and implement a tactical strategic plan for the business, that will place emphasis on driving resource plan and highlight any potential short comings or risks.
  • Analyse data, trends, facilitate workshops, perform gap analysis, partner with HR and the Business, all to understand the business strategy, the current capability and capacity, identify the gaps to satisfy the future needs of the Business and develop innovative short, medium, and long-term strategies to close capability or capacity gaps.
  • Apply an agile methodology to achieving results, soliciting feedback from business leaders to identify, recommend, and develop enhancements to strategic workforce planning process & methodology.
  • Implement change programmes and services to meet HR and business needs; partner with various teams and prioritise critical initiatives.

 

What you will bring: 

  • An experienced strategic workforce planning manager, with experience building this capability in a large organisation
  • Experience of the latest forecasting tools, trends and methodologies for capability planning.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to understand the business strategy, translate it into capability and capacity requirements and develop innovative short, medium, and long-term strategies to close capability or capacity gaps to meet the future needs of the Business.
  • Experience leading change initiatives and HR solutions.
  • Proven provision of support to the Business, using analytics and benchmarking, in understanding their capability and capacity from a planning perspective in relation to the Group’s overall People Strategy.
