Your
Role:



As a First Line of Defence (FLOD) Agent, you will provide support to
teams across ASU & Customer Operations to ensure all FLOD testing is
completed in line with the Departments FLOD framework. You will also provide
support to the First Line of Defence Assistant Manager to ensure Risk Controls
are identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored and reported.



 



Your Team:



First Line of Defence (FLOD) is the first of the three lines of
defence employed by the Bank to manage risk. FLOD testing is completed within
ASU & Customer Operations to ensure procedures and controls are operated
effectively; risk frameworks, policies and procedures are adhered to; and that
ASU & Customer Operations are complying with regulatory and legal
obligations



 



You’re
Responsibilities:




  • Ensure that all FLOD testing
    is completed within agreed timeframes

  • Chair FLOD meeting and ensure
    appropriate action is taken following the meeting

  • Ensure all remediation is
    completed when required

  • Introduce change on foot of
    any FLOD findings – look at the customer journey as a whole and ways to
    improve the journey

  • Ensure the FLOD framework for
    each business unit is reviewed and amended if required based on changing /
    existing policies and procedures

  • Ensure any Operational Risk
    Events identified through FLOD testing are raised with the relevant
    Assistant Manager / Manager to log and remediate

  • Provide support to the First
    Line of Defence Assistant Manager in the management and co-ordination of
    all ASU & Customer Operations Risk and Control Self-Assessments
    (RCSAs) and Internal Control Framework (ICF) to ensure all risks are
    identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored and reported

  • Provide support to the First
    Line of Defence Assistant Manager in the management and review of Audit
    action timelines

  • Assist with the
    implementation of any action plans identified through Business Unit
    Control (BUC) testing

  • Support the creation and
    development of new and enhanced policies and procedures within ASU &
    Customer Operations

  • Embed Conduct Risk ensuring
    complaints are resolved in a timely manner


 



Requirements:



Essential




  • Strong background and
    expertise in ASU & Customer Operations processes

  • Experience in FLOD framework
    and testing

  • Good understanding of
    CCMA,CPC, GDPR & AML

  • Strong analytical, planning,
    organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet
    established timelines

  • Strong research skills
    including gathering and analysing data from multiple sources to produce
    high quality FLOD results for submission to management


 



Desired




  • Good PC skills (use of Word,
    Excel, Outlook)

  • Knowledge of Banking
    Systems  

  • Prior Operational Risk
    experience

  • Demonstrate strong
    interpersonal and excellent communication skills with the ability to
    influence at all levels of the organisation both written and verbal.

  • Proven track record of
    commitment to deliver quality service and an ability to prioritise.

  • Self-motivated, with the
    ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.
