As our Software QA Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Working independently to accomplish tasks
  • Creating test strategies/plans/scripts from use cases, user stories, functional specifications
  • Testing to be sure products are fit for purpose (meets required functionality, compliance, and capacity) and is fit for use from a usability perspective.
  • Investigating and clearly articulating the problem definitions when bugs/issues found.
  • Liaising with other functions such as SD team.
  • Creating training material such as videos and user guides.
  • Providing training to end users, and knowledge sharing internally.
  • Leading Operational Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and finally Customer Acceptance Testing.
  • ProvideingTier1 early life support for operate related issues post go-live.
  • Providing a leadership role for peers through extensive knowledge in his/her area of specialization (assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job), champion significant projects, programs and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity.

Your Experience and Education include:        

  • Higher level education in software engineering or computer science or have equivalent experience. Degree in Computer Science or related field desirable, but not essential
  • Knowledge of Microsoft server, and/or Linux operating systems e.g. RHEL/OpenShift
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and/or Oracle
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks, mocking frameworks
  • Experience with test/bug-logging tools such as
    • Azure DevOps
    • AutoIT
    • MT Test
    • Jmeter
    • LINQPad
    • ANTS Memory Profiler
    • Postman
    • Selenium
    • Unified Functional Testing
    • Visual Studio
    • Visual Studio Code
    • Jenkins.
  • At least 1 Years’ experience within a similar role
  • Maintenance and Networking experience is desirable
