THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Abtran CTO, we are looking for Enterprise Architect to help us fulfil our ambition to deliver flexible, scalable, and simple technology that is secure that engages and enables our business to deliver innovative customer service and other solutions to our clients.

This is a critical role, accountable for enhancing the way we do things, influencing the business and having responsibility for the overall design and future direction of Abtran enterprise architecture.

Ideally you will have experience in contact centre / customer relationship experience management technologies, omni-channel, automation, analytics, AI & Machine learning and well as Robotic Process Automation technologies. A strong background in systems integration based on open API architectures and microservices architectures leveraging ESBs and other integration and middleware technologies is desirable.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

ICT Enterprise Architecture

  • Own the technology architecture blueprint for our business, ensuring alignment with our Business Strategy of building a scalable business as well as owing the technology strategy and roadmap of our clients.
  • Develop and maintain our technology architecture roadmaps, principles and standards under the guidance and direction of our CTO.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure that our technology capability is fully understood and supported by all stakeholders, aligned to the business need, fit for purpose and provides value for ongoing investments made.
  • Produce and maintain technology solution architecture artefacts in conjunction with our wider systems development organisation and chair our Architecture Review Board (ARB).

Demand and Portfolio Management Support

  • Work alongside senior business and client stakeholders in conjunction with colleagues, in a pre-project and/or pre-sales capacity, to produce initial high-level solution options.
  • Use tailored communication techniques e.g. Visualisation to share landscape knowledge, challenges, solution options and complex technical concepts with stakeholders.
  • Conduct research and utilise network to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within the enterprise and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.
  • Support the shaping of programme/project structures, based on the solution architecture, to set up for effective delivery

Project Delivery Support

  • Support the Business Analyst, Project Manager and other ICT Development and Infrastructure team colleagues in the elicitation/review of business requirements, ensuring that the sufficient information is obtained from the Business stakeholders to properly inform the technical requirements.
  • Elicit non-functional requirements from the business and work with the Business Analyst to ensure these are documented appropriately, engaging with the relevant stakeholders in Applications and Infrastructure Operations as required.
  • Review and signoff on the High-Level Design documentation.
  • Guide and consult with Project Management to ensure delivery models adopted are suitable, cost effective and the right fit.
  • Support the delivery of the solution through all phases of the SDLC in relation to the Solution Architecture, including input to Test Strategy/Approach, delivery approach, deployment approach etc.

Alignment and Support

  • Adhere to and support the definition and continuous upkeep of Solution Architecture, Design and Documentation standards, appropriate best practice and methodologies as set and conform to applicable architectural standards.
  • Contribute to mechanisms to preserve, harvest and share key knowledge within key stakeholders, using appropriate tools, to facilitate the development of others

Risk and Compliance

  • Maintain & monitor standards, controls, processes and solutions, to minimise business and IT risk.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements and standards

Management Support

  • Positive and proactive participation within the team and active collaboration with colleagues across the business

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Essential Requirements

  • 5+ years technical architecture background with understanding/ hands-on experience of Solution Architecture.
  • Substantial knowledge of a wide range of technical platforms and systems architecture.
  • Experience of Contact Centre and CRX technologies preferred.
  • Proven ability in designing, influencing and deliver a strategic end-to-end solution in partnership with a diverse range of clients and/or stakeholders.
  • Track record of effectively managing in a complex stakeholder environment up to and including an organisation`s leadership team.
  • Proven, compelling written and verbal communications skills and excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to make technical conversations relevant to business and vice versa.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-vendor, multi-partner environment and across a range of SDLCs with a focus on delivery
