Position Description 





Dublin
Stations currently comprise of Poolbeg, Dublin Bay Power and North Wall
power plants. The successful candidate will assume the role of HSEQ
Manager Dublin Stations.





The
successful candidate will be a team player and self-starter with the
ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage, develop and motivate
team members. They will also have a demonstrable ability to communicate
and relate effectively with staff at all levels in the organisation



Key Responsibilities 

The key responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to the following:






  • Operate
    as part of the wider Dublin Stations leadership team in delivering
    against targets in the Dublin Stations Business Plan.

  • Contribute to the development of station targets in line with Corporate and G&T policy and objectives.

  • Ensure
    compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation, accredited
    external standards and company standards including ISO 45001
    accreditation.

  • Ensure
    compliance with relevant Environment legislation, accredited external
    standards and company standards including compliance with Industrial
    Emissions Licence, Green House Gas Permit, and maintaining ISO14001
    accreditation

  • Ensure Safe System of Work and Safe and Sound are integrated into the Dublin Stations

  • Develop
    improvement plans to drive continuous improvement and ensure that all
    improvement programmes in all areas (Safety/Environment/Plant/Systems)
    are implemented within time, cost and scope targets.

  • Manage key relationships with H.S.A and EPA for Dublin Stations

  • Engage
    effectively with all key internal and external stakeholders, agencies
    and be intimately aware of the various regulatory, licencing and
    legislative frameworks under which the Dublin Stations operate.

  • Drive continuous improvement business performance, seeking to optimise expenditure in all decisions.

  • Contribute
    to the development of an informed and empowered workforce through
    effective communications, team work, accountability and key performance
    measures.

  • Ensure all team members are performing to their full potential.

  • Understand
    the challenges posed by the changing business environment in which the
    Dublin stations operate and to drive change and flexibilities needed to
    address these challenges.

  • Other duties which may from time to time be assigned by Dublin Stations management



Knowledge, Skills and Experience 





Desirable 






  • Experience and competence in Operations/Maintenance of power plant and in power plant technologies, systems and procedures.

  • Experience in Safety , Environmental and Quality Management is desirable

  • The successful candidate will have proved ability to lead, empower and motivate staff to achieve optimum performance.





Qualifications 






  • A primary engineering degree or equivalent work experience is essential.

The successful candidate will be based in Dublin Stations.
