Engineering – Alternative Fleet Technology Support

• Assessment and identification of optimum vehicle on-board data inputs/outputs for developing a strategic logistics fleet management and operational planning system
• Monitoring and analysis of output performance data from alternative fuel technology vehicles
• Research and assessment of market ready solutions for monitoring and managing alternative technology fleets in service
• Modelling of alternative fleet energy performance scenarios
• Gap analysis of performance management outputs on such systems and identification of solutions to optimise output requirements for Bus Éireann’s engineering and operations divisions
• Work will involve liaising with vehicles and systems suppliers on specific vehicle data streams, technology and systems architecture
• Providing engineering expertise and technical knowledge to the project delivery team and key stakeholders

Engineering – Alternative Fleet Infrastructure Support

• Identification and modelling of future fleet charging and fuelling infrastructure transition requirements across Bus Éireann’s national network of bus garages, depots and stations
• Investigate and assess opportunities for consolidating future multi-fuel and charging infrastructure requirements across Bus Éireann’s national network
• Development of a strategic timeline for Bus Éireann site upgrades based on transition phases between technologies at each site
• Monitoring and analytics of energy related data from initial phases of infrastructure deployment
• Research and assessment of charging infrastructure solutions to support the project delivery team
• Work will involve liaising with energy suppliers and infrastructure systems suppliers on specific energy supply data streams, technology and systems architecture
• Providing engineering expertise and technical knowledge to the project delivery team and key stakeholders
