The Health & Safety Managers role is to ensure compliance across 6 Operational sites in Ireland. This person works closely with key stakeholders across Uniphar Group taking the lead in Health and Safety best practice.
 

Key Outcomes

• Training-Provide Health and Safety and Manual Handling training with all new joiners, ensuring yearly reviews and refresher training is complete.
• Training- Ensure all compliance training is provided - fire warden, first aid responder, chemical spill response, rescue and working at heights, MEWP, VDU assessments.
• Chair monthly H&S meetings providing updates to the business.
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain depots risk registers on documentation system and ensure compliant with section 19 of the health safety and welfare at work act.
• Carry out internal health and safety audits for the supply chain depots nationwide.
• Carry out accident and incident investigations and where necessary provide mitigating actions, reporting all accidents when required to the health and safety authority.
• Represent the business at HSA inspections, insurance meetings, and customer audits.
• Provide sound advice and guidance to the business on health and safety related matters
• Maintain and administer all personnel injury claims and act as the point of contact between the company, insurance provider, loss adjusters and solicitors.
• Ensure fire drills are completed as per statutory requirements and emergency response plans are reviewed, updated, and communicated.
