Supply Chain & Retail Division

Supply Chain Services provides both pre-wholesale and wholesale distribution of pharmaceutical, healthcare and animal health products to pharmacies and hospital nationwide. The business supports a diverse customer base through the provision of strong service levels coupled with innovative commercial initiatives. In addition, the business provides services and supports that help independent community pharmacy to compete more effectively in an increasingly difficult environment and runs a network of Uniphar-owned pharmacies under the Life, Allcare Hickeys and McCauleys symbol brands.

C&C Medtech

C&C Medtech, operating as SISK Healthcare is a pan-European medical device distributor. With presence across 15 markets, SISK Healthcare, represents global leading medical device manufacturers across a multitude of specialities. SISK Healthcare offers training, education and supports customers through dedicated clinical specialists across Sales & Technical Service, Clinical IT, Clinical Applications, Training and Education and Customer Service.

A total solutions provider, each of the 9 brands within C&C Medtech compete under their individual brand identity and respective specialities. SISK Healthcare is the umbrella structure for all 9 brands and in addition incorporates centralised support functions across QCRA, HR, Marketing, Finance, Operational Excellence, IT, Logistics and Warehousing.

Product Access / On Demand  Division

Uniphar’s strategy is to become the global leader in the provision of unlicensed & hard to find medicines to healthcare professionals & patients around the world. Partnering directly with pharmaceutical manufacturers, Uniphar designs and delivers medicine access programmes that ensure appropriate patients have rapid access to new treatments and therapies at the time they need them most. Uniphar’s regulatory, digital and global supply chain expertise ensures seamless access to vital medicines, providing an important bridge between manufacturers, healthcare professionals and patients to access medicines outside of traditional clinical and commercial channels. With office locations across Ireland, UK, the US the division is focused on delivering double digit organic growth over the next several years.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will, among other, perform the following duties and hold the following responsibilities.

• To support the roll out of the IT strategy as set out by the Division Technology Lead.
• Lead and manage the IT departments across all OnDemand entities, providing direction and guidance to the local IT managers.
• Develop and implement the OnDemand’s IT strategy.
• Develop and monitor KPIs for IT teams, IT operations, infrastructure, projects, and service delivery to measure performance and identify areas for efficiency
• Work alongside IT Project Managers from initiation to completion ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and align IT initiatives with strategic objectives.
• Identify and prioritize technology initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation.
• Manage technology budgets and resources effectively and conduct regular reviews and assessments of existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
• Ensure IT security controls are implemented and ensure compliance with the information security and information governance policies as set out by the Group.
• Ensure the smooth running of all Technology Systems cross the Division by managing all vendors and outsourced partners across all sites.
• Measure and evaluate the performance of all third-party vendors.
• Key member of the On Demand EAP project team.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the technology infrastructure, networks, and systems including requirement gathering, vendor selection, project planning, solution design, system configuration, data migration, user acceptance testing and deployment.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend system solutions based on business requirements, scalability, integration capabilities, and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential for the division.
• Provide Monthly updates on all entities to the Director of OnDemand.

Key Skills & Experiences

• Degree educated in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Highly motivated, proactive and determined problem solver who can drive and deliver solutions.
• Proven experience as an IT Manager, overseeing IT operation and leading IT teams.
• Have demonstrable experience of leading and developing successful teams.
• Proven experience in system implementation and design.
• Strong understanding of business processes and their alignment with technology solutions.
• Experience in evaluating, selecting, and implementing enterprise systems (ERP, WMS, TMS, CRM, etc.)
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity principles.
• Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• An understanding of IT budgeting and financial management.
• IT compliance awareness with knowledge of risk management and understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV).
• Knowledge of Microsoft suite including Office365, Dynamics and Power BI is an advantage
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server is an advantage
• Knowledge of SAP 4 Hana is an advantage
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
