We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician who will carry out repairs and maintenance activities minimizing production downtime.
Role and Responsibilities:
● Carry out electrical and/or mechanical repairs and inspections as required to ensure equipment runs reliably in production.
● Install new machinery, overhaul equipment and rebuild and fabricate parts as required.
● Consistently maintain company safety and cleanliness standards in the production environment.
● Assist maintenance personnel with plant maintenance as needed.
● Liaise with outside contractors as necessary.
● Training, instruction and supervision of apprentices including carrying out reviews of Apprentice performance, ensuring that Apprentices get experience in all aspects of their trade.
● As assigned by the supervisor or manager, must be licensed and certified to drive a forklift within our Corporation.
Qualifications and Experience:
● High School Diploma or GED preferred.
● Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably in automotive and/or plastics environment.
● Experience working with CNC machines, Mills, Lathes, Welding, etc.
● Strong teamwork, electrical, and mechanical skills.
● Strong communication skills.
