Job Description
Designs, develops, analyzes, debugs, optimizes, integrates, tests, and/or validates existing or new device drivers software, including the design and implementation of platform level features that encompass interfacing with drivers to higher level frameworks. Researches and collaborates with other engineers and architects in the design, development, integration, and/or validation of device drivers on the target OS.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Honors degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science. 
• 7+ years software development experience. 
• Excellent Technical Leadership skills across multiple project teams and technologies. 
• Strong C/C++ programming skills, including developing multi-core or multi-threaded software. 
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating system, Linux Device driver development.
• Strong experience of working with Hardware platforms, integrating Hardware and Software, as well as debugging complex Hardware and Software integration issues. 
• Good problem-solving skills coupled with a strong aptitude to learn and innovate. 
• Strong Software Engineering skills including Requirements, Architecture, Design, Implementation, Debug and System Integration and Verification testing. 
• Discipline to develop quality deliverables at all stages of the software development life cycle. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Networking technologies e.g. Ethernet, TCP/IP. 
• Good understanding of Intel Architecture/x86 or other multi-core processor.
• Real-Time and Embedded software development, preferably in the context of Telecom and Networking application domains. 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multisite team. 
• Customer facing skills. 
• Virtualization, Containerization, Cloud Native technologies, Agile Software development. 
• Open-Source Software Development, and upstreaming experience. 
• Source control management tools e.g. Git Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
