SUMMARY: Reporting to a Business Unit Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Process
Technician will provide manufacturing support, process support/trouble shooting of process
issues, identifying equipment faults.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardising and improving
existing production processes and procedures.
• Assist Engineers in investigating and implementing new production methods.
• Assist Engineers in design methods, part sourcing and documentation.
• Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment, changes and
improvements.
• Interface with a variety of internal personnel and with outside vendors as necessary
while performing the above.
• Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process
or area.
• Communicate any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health
or safety issues to their Manager.
• Set up equipment and facilitate changeover.
• Calibrate equipment.
• Perform scheduled PMs.
• Change injection moulds as required.
• Implement process improvements
• Support projects as required.
• Ensure environmental impact of all operations is considered in relation to purchasing,
waste management, recycling and energy.
• Conform to the requirements of the quality and environmental management system.
• Undertake ad hoc duties and projects as required.
"• The ideal candidate should be a qualified fitter, toolmaker, and electrician or hold a
mechatronic qualification.
• Previous experience of working in a dynamic cleanroom manufacturing environment
preferably in the medical device area is desirable.
• Experience should include changeovers and troubleshooting on injection moulding,
Multivac packaging, extrusion blow moulding, running automated lines a ultrasonic
welding.
• Experience of completing maintenance tasks on a range of equipment.
• Strong team player, with the ability to work on own initiative"
