The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer position provides expertise to the service support teams as well as customers (if appropriate) in solving product (NSR) quality related issues including product manufacturing issues, failure analysis, ECC (build specification) and modifications support, of Nikon photolithographic machines (NSR) within the customer manufacturing environment. The role also provides expertise in resolving workmanship and improving service quality across NPE.

What you will do
Product Quality Assurance support

• Responsible for the coordination of all QA support activities in your specified customers of NPE.
• Responsible to escalate QA issues to NPI QA and NPE management in a timely manner.
• Support QA related escalation and own QA related follow-up actions in NPE.
• Help to create or ensure the site teams create Quality reports (NCR, HRN) filed in appropriate systems (NPI SharePoint and NC SWAT).
• Utilise Systems (NPI SharePoint and NC QIM) to track ongoing Failure Analysis (FA) and provide report/ update to Site Teams and Customers.
• Responsible for the proliferation of all QA related information to site / Service teams.
• Working with NPI and NC QA teams to construct and release pre-QAN and QAN documentation / updates.
• Accountable for managing QA customer meetings (weekly, monthly and quarterly) and for participation of regular internal NPI/E forums by present NPE QA issue (QAN, failure analysis report).
• Accountable to manage and run weekly QA conference calls internally within NPE site teams.

ECC and Modifications support
• Responsible for the coordination of all QA related modification activities in your specified customers of NPE.
• Responsible for clear communications and proliferation of information between NPI QA and NC Sales to and from NPE Service / site teams (schedules, technical information and updates).
• Work with site and install team on reuse tool modifications support in your specified customers.
• Promote quality and performance enhancement related modifications at customers.
• Present NPE-QA in meetings with customer regarding modifications.

Workmanship and service quality support
• Work with all NPE departments on reported and addressing cases in the NPE quality improvement program.
• Work with NPE site teams, NC/NPI QA to record workmanship and customer reported issues (MQI).
• Help to clarify MQI problem statement and work with site team on corrective actions and follow-up activities.
• Deliver GSP (Good Service Practice) training and regular updates.

Other support activities
• Maintain a good level of technical knowledge on new machine generations.
• Represent NPE in future development and planning of QA systems and customer QA support processes.
• Deliver QA system training and its updates to NPE site teams.
• Trouble-shooting Support: Work closely with site team and ES on weekly basis, and provide necessary information on known solutions (QAN, approved mods, or ongoing QA investigations) to problems at customer sites.

What you have …
Background
• Good level of English (spoken and written).
• Good fundamental education in Engineering / Science (University / College Qualification or equivalent).
• Strong background in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and its clean-room environment (more than 10 years). Nikon experience is an advantage.
• Familiar with safety requirements relevant to the industry.
• Good computer skills; SharePoint knowledge an advantage.
• High level of technical skills and competent in Nikon NSR (machine) generations.

• Ability to represent NPE at technical meetings with customer.
• Ability to identify needs for technical meetings, to organise and lead those meetings.
• Competent to take responsibility for information transfer to other groups.
• High standard of professionalism in conflict resolution.

Working conditions:
Contract
• Full time, permanent.

Working hours
• Monday to Friday (Sunday to Thursday in Israel) office hours, flexibility to work outside core hours including some weekend on-call and weekend working.
• Varying work patterns will be required during the training and transition period.

Travel requirements
• Occasional long periods abroad for training and customer assistance as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Level 7) , Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering , Third level qualification in a Science or Engineering
