Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Working hand-in-hand with a group of experienced engineers to extend the simulator capabilities and model correctness.
- Simulator feature design, prototyping, implementation, and support of existing model architectures.
- Carry out competitive performance analysis, root cause analysis and bug resolution including customer bugs. Interactions with customers outside is expected.
- Analyze specifications of upcoming ethernet networking devices. Working with our software and hardware design engineers and architects to deliver the next generation of processor and platform designs.
- Interfacing with members of other tools and application teams within us as required.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' experience in SW engineering across the product lifecycles or Master's Degree with 6+ years or PhD with 4+ years in Computer Science or equivalent
Expert level software development skills, such as knowledge of programming tools, languages and environments
5+ years of C/C++ programming experience
Demonstrated proficiency with Python
Demonstrated Knowledge of Ethernet protocols and products
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge in computer architecture and microarchitecture
Hands-on experience developing compiler or simulator prototypes.
Virtual platforms development experience.
Working with FPGA models of any IP blocks or larger system simulation.
Experience in one or more core technologies such as tools, IA architecture,
Windows or Linux kernel debug, networking, and virtualization.
