Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Summary:
Kelly Services are currently working with a leading Medical Device company in Offaly to find a Supply Chain Manager to join their team. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for and has the authority for overall materials management, including procurement and control of materials, purchasing of equipment, supplies, spares, plant contracts, production planning, inventory control, warehousing, distribution, and management of Sterilization for the plant. The successful candidate will report directly to the Site Director.
Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to management of plant as a key member of the management team and is committed to deliver plant goals, in the areas of Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, People Development and Continuous Improvement
  • Manage relationships with Medical Segment Commercial leadership functions and individual key stakeholders to establish long term relationships and to develop effective business planning that benefit plant growth
  • Proactively stay up to date with any changes that may affect the supply and demand of required goods, materials or services and advise relevant individuals of any impact
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships
  • Management of the Supply Chain team to ensure that they are developed, coached and capable of performing the role designated including performance management
  • Is accountable for total Supply Chain department budget and value of all inventories, along with delivery of KPIs for schedule attainment, service, back order level, DIOH and supplier on time delivery
  • Lead the development and operation of the Sterilizer operation to support business needs
  • Adhere to GMP based Quality Systems requirements for medical devices (e.g., MDD, MDR, and ISO 13485)
  • Manage the Supply Chain team to establish and operate purchasing, production planning, inventory control, sterilization, and warehousing functions within budgeted costs
  • Develop and motivate the Supply Chain team by establishing standards of performance, assisted by regular reviews of performance
  • Oversee the daily operation of the following functions
  • Warehouse and Shipping
  • Sterilization
  • Purchasing
  • Master Scheduling
  • Site Services - Catering, Cleaning & Security
  • Liaise with Global Supply Chain and Sales and Marketing and develop net requirements. Plan economic production schedules which accurately reflect customer requirements and develop systems to support same
  • Source and procure materials and supplies of acceptable quality at competitive prices from approved vendors
  • Approve new vendors, packaging, and artwork in line with company policy
  • In conjunction with Quality Control, establish overall co-ordination of supplier contract review in line with Supplier Audit program and delivery performance


Requirements:

  • 3rd Level qualification in Purchasing, Logistics/ Supply Chain, Business or other suitable qualification in Supply Chain Management (i.e., APICS) is desirable. Lean/ Six Sigma certification or training would be advantageous
  • Significant experience is required in a Supply Chain/ Manufacturing environment encompassing all disciplines including procurement, purchasing, planning, logistics and warehousing
  • It is expected that the successful candidate will already be operating at this level or ready to take this step with a short lead-in
  • Lives to and regularly demonstrates core values of Integrity, Inclusive, Innovation, Accountable, and Mission Drive
  • Expert knowledge of ERP systems and strong general computer literacy is also desirable
  • Comfortable in working in a team/ matrix environment
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Commercial and financial acumen

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • The ability to prioritise, comfortable and delegated responsibility and a self-starter
  • The ability to keep and holistic approach when communicating with key stakeholders
  • The ability to organize and communicate effectively is essential
