Title: Warehouse Manager

Summary: Our Client in Co. Clare is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Management of goods inwards, packing, picking, and shipping functions.
• Take charge of all stocks - resale, raw materials, packaging etc.
• Make sure the efficient running of functions in line with company requirements and developing standards to improve service delivery.
• Consistently achieve operational targets.
• Oversee and develop strategic partnerships with freight service providers and various suppliers to upkeep efficient delivery service at competitive pricing.
• Liaise and work alongside various functions to make sure efficient delivery of distribution targets.
• Manage and develop reports to meet high level of employee engagement.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, health and safety and housekeeping rules at all times.
• Identify and present projects exclusively targeting quality improvements and process efficiency.
• Engage and/or lead cross functional teams on specific projects when required.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers to make sure company achieves high standard of service at competitive rates.

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 10 years warehouse experience with minimum 5 years within management, or a warehouse supervisor seeking a new opportunity.
• Excellent knowledge of laboratory supplies industry.
• Knowledge of legislative requirements regarding shipping of hazardous goods.
• Qualification in logistics or similar is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with innovative approach to process improvement.
• Strong communication skills with ability to work on own initiative and as part of team.
