Job Objectives

We are currently seeking applications from Occupational Therapists interested in joining the expanding Occupational Therapy team within Nua Healthcare. The Occupational Therapist will be working with children and adults in community-based disability and mental health houses in Cork and the surrounding counties in the south. The role is a hybrid model of working with opportunities to work in our office based in Little Island, County Cork, work from home and conduct assessment and intervention in Nua Healthcare houses as required. Candidates must demonstrate the necessary interest, capability, performance and enthusiasm in line with the requirements of this role.

Skills Required

Criteria required for the post:

  • Have a recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist and CORU registration
  • Have at least two years' experience as an Occupational Therapist working with children and adults in disability and/or mental health services
  • Experience working with individuals presenting with sensory processing difficulties
  • Be committed to the delivery of quality, person-centred, community-based services
  • Have excellent communication and team-working skills
  • Have excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • A desire to support the ongoing development of the occupational therapy department with a willingness to engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Willingness to travel for work purposes with a full clean driving licence and use of a car

Desired criteria for the post:

  • Post-graduate training in sensory integration
