Role: Site Engineer

Contract: Full Time

Travel: Current valid driving license.

Junior Engineer/Site Engineer required for a growing and dynamic main contractor based on the North Offaly/Kildare border and operating primarily in the Midlands / Dublin areas with projects ranging from commercial to industrial, civil, fit-out, pharma, and residential.

Role/Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

• Work closely with and report to Senior Engineer, Project Manager and Senior Management

• Check and understand all drawings and specification. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in timely manner.

• Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials and recording of same on the Bretland document control system.

• Assist with technical submissions to client and document control of same

• Assist with management of all aspects of Health & Safety and Quality on site, ensuring compliance with the Company's Quality and Safety Management Systems incl management of subcontractors and plant

• Management of subcontractors on site

• Responsible for site setting out, levels and completing As Built drawings, etc.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Level 7 Qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in Structural/Civil Engineering projects and be competent in all aspects of site setting out.

• Full Irish Driving Licence

• Safe Pass & Manual handling, other certifications beneficial

• Experience in Traffic & Pedestrian Management, but not essential

• Good IT skills and computer literacy, proficient in the use of MS Word/Excel/Outlook

• Competent in use of AutoCAD or similar

• Competent in the use of GPS, Total Station and Dumpy Level

• Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.

• Ability to coordinate a number of various projects.

• Preferably based in the north Leinster / Midlands region.
