The heart of our innovation lies in its semiconductor facilities and this is your opportunity play a central role in maintaining our state of the art manufacturing controls. In this position, you will be part of our CS Facilities Operations team and will own, sustain, improve and develop new technologies for the site UPW system. As a Facilities UPW engineer is expected to provide engineering support to maintain and improve equipment and system uptime. The successful candidate will identify opportunities to improve existing system efficiency and reliability, and expected to understand and keep track of your system maintenance.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to
Role modelling a commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence at a competitive cost.
Be the primary owner for Facilities UPW unit operations.
System owner for sustaining and continuous improvement of existing systems. Accountable for system operations, maintenance procedures, and reliability.
Supports projects, factory task forces, cross-site teams, cross discipline teams, factory module Teams,
Conceptual design of all new Ultra pure Water Systems and installations and start-up commission of new installations and upgrades
Owns any small projects which will be necessary to cover any capacity issues, safety concerns or energy savings measures. Owns driving these projects and ensuring that the designs and equipment specifications meet our Standards.
Drives cost and energy effectiveness. Supports budget owners by forecasting spends and analyzing versus actuals
Supports Technician Training and Certification programs
Technical support for material, spare parts, supplier issues, service contracts.
Ability to work with minimum direction, self-motivator with own initiative.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree (Hon) in Chemical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering from an accredited university
Strong problem solving ability. Ability to handle multiple tasks
Able to work in a team environment and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present and explain data to both technical and non-technical forums.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant job or internship experience in areas such as facilities water systems, chemical engineering principles, including chemical piping, neutralization, filtration, pumps, valves, flow calculations and chemical analytical testing.
Proven Project management skills.
A good understanding of material and chemical properties, automation, quality systems and statistical analysis
