Job Description:

 Our client provides high-quality care and support for their residents in their Housing-with-Care schemes. They strive to create a nurturing environment where residents can lead fulfilling and active lives within their community. They are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Worker to join their team and assist the Scheme Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of their care scheme.

 Job Overview:

As a Senior Care Worker, you will support the Scheme Manager in the day-to-day management of the scheme, ensuring compliance with residential care home regulations, statutory requirements, and the company’s policies and procedures. In the absence of the Scheme Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall management of the scheme.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily operations during specific duty periods and in the Manager’s absence.
  • Execute management duties as delegated and maintain administrative systems.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Assist in recruiting, managing, and training care staff.
  • Implement duty rosters to ensure adequate staffing levels and compliance with policies.
  • Resident Care:
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet residents' diverse needs.
  • Assist with catering operations to ensure nutritious and varied menus.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and support residents in accessing services.
  • Manage the ordering, storage, and administration of prescribed medicines.
  • Community Engagement:
  • Promote residents' social life and community involvement.
  • Implement emergency and health and safety procedures.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.
  • Address repairs and implement the complaints procedure for residents and families.

 Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and care home legislation.
